<p>Villa Porfyra is located on the outskirts of the village of Mousada in an area known as Trapezaki. Nearby are several tavernas, mini markets, a local bakery and the sandy beaches of Trapezaki and Kanali. The village of Lourdas is less than 10 minutes drive, where half a dozen excellent tavernas overlook the beach and where you can hire speed boats to explore Kefalonia&rsquo;s beautiful coastline doted with lots of small private coves, great snorkelling and plenty of beach tavernas to enjoy lunch at. Porfyra is centrally located on the south coast making it an ideal base from which to explore the whole island as most attractions are within an hour&rsquo;s drive. A twenty minute drive will take you to the capital, Argostoli where you will find an attractive main square, a pretty harbour promenade, lots of cafes and restaurants, large supermarkets, plenty of shops and the best place on the island for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat for your barbecue.</p> <p>The entrance to Villa Porfyra is on the first floor leading into an open plan lounge, study area, dining room and modern fully equipped kitchen. The lounge is furnished with two large sofas, satellite TV, DVD and CD player and has a small study area which leads into the kitchen and dining area. A sliding door leads from the dining room onto a partially covered balcony furnished with a second table and chairs from which you can dine al fresco whilst admiring the stunning sea views over Trapezaki. A marble staircase leads down from the lounge to the lower floor sleeping area where there are two bedrooms, a twin and master double. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe, en suite shower room and access via a sliding double door onto a covered patio area furnished with a table and set of chairs next to the swimming pool. The twin bedroom also has access out onto the swimming pool patio through double doors, but has a separate family bathroom.
